Run the backfill script if the CA you want to connect to is an Entrust Certificate Authority 10.2.x system that was upgraded from a pre‑10.2 release. Specifically, follow the steps described in the following sections of the Entrust Certificate Authority 10.2 Installation Guide:
- Upgrading from previous releases of Entrust Certificate Authority
- Managing the certificate status tracking backfill
At a high level, you need to:
- Run the certificate status backfill.
- The backfill runs automatically in the background after upgrading to Entrust Certificate Authority 10.2.x from a pre‑10.2.x version.
- Alternatively, you can run the certificate status backfill on demand using a command in the Entrust Certificate Authority Control Command Shell (entsh).
- Complete the certificate status tracking backfill. After the certificate status backfill has finished running, complete the process by running the required command in the Entrust Certificate Authority Control Command Shell (entsh).
Completing the certificate status backfill is required to retrieve all necessary certificate status information (including revocation information) for CA Gateway clients.
