Follow the steps below to configure PKI DB Appliance.
To configure PKI DB Appliance
Open a web browser at the URL obtained when Running PKI DB Appliance.
Do not omit the "https" prefix of the URL.
- If prompted, add a security exception for the PKI DB Appliance IP address.
PKI DB Appliance uses its own root certificate authority to issue its security certificate, so the browser will not recognize it.
- On the login page, enter
secrootfor both the username and password. - Review the EULA (End-user License Agreement) and click I Agree to accept the license terms.
- On the welcome screen, click Continue as a Standalone Node.
- On the Change Password page, enter a new password for the
secrootaccount and click Update Password. On the Configure E-Mail and Mail Server Settings page, specify your email settings.
PKI DB Appliance will use this address to send the Admin Key for the new node and system alerts.
Download the admin key and save it in a safe place for later use.
The PKI DB Appliance requires an administrator key to recover your system. If you do not have this key, you may lose your data.
