Local authentication is enabled by default when you create a vault. If you use local authentication, you don't need to configure any additional authentication. Next, configure your access policies and users.
You can change the authentication method as required. If you change the authentication method, local authentication will still be available. For example, you can configure LDAP or OIDC for all users but keep local authentication available for admin users.
