See below for configuring the EDB PostgreSQL database connector.

To configure a database connector

  1. Log in to the Vault web GUI.

  2. In the top menu bar, click CloudKeys.

  3. Select the PostgreSQL Key Set that you created

  4. Click the Database Connectors tab in the bottom half of the screen.

  5. Select Actions > Create Connector.

  6. In the Create Database Connector dialog box, enter the following: 

    Field

    Description

    VM Name

    Enter the name for the PostgreSQL Database Server VM.

    Connector Name

    Enter the name to use for the database connector.

    Expiration

    Select Never (the database connector will never expire) or Choose a date (the database connector will expire on the selected date)

  7. Click Create. If the database connector is created correctly, you will see it listed in the table beneath the Database Connectors tab as ENABLED.

  8. Select the database connector that you just created

  9. Select Actions > Generate Access Token. 

  10. On the Generate Access Token window, the new access token is created and displays both an identity and a secret. Copy these to use when configuring the cryptographic provider.
