CSP Vault security administrators create vaults and assign an administrator to each vault.
CSP Vault sends the vault administrator a URL and a temporary password, allowing them to access and configure the vault. The vault administrator is responsible for the vault and has full control. CSP Vault administrator does not have access to the vault by default.
To create a vault
Log in to the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault Management webGUI using an account with Security Admin privileges.
Select Create Vault. The Create Vault page appears.
Enter the vault details:
Select Create Vault.
Type
Select the vault type.
Name
Enter the name for the vault.
Description
Enter an optional description for the vault.
Email Notifications
Select ON or OFF to enable email notifications. If SNTP is not configured, you cannot use email.
If email is turned on, then an email is sent to the vault administrator. The email includes the vault URL and a temporary password. The vault administrator logs in with the temporary password and is prompted to change their password.
If email is turned off, you will see the temporary passwords and need to give them to the Vault Admins.
Admin Name
Enter the name of the vault administrator.
Admin Email
Enter the email address of the vault administrator. We send an email to this address, inviting the vault administrator to configure and manage the vault.
